The Angel Nebula
Near to, but about twice as far away as Orion, you’ll find the Angel Nebula some 2,700 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros. It is a small but active star forming region about 80 light-years across in a large molecular cloud.

The Angel Nebula is a small but colorful regional of nebulosity. Unfortunately with my wide-field telescope, it’s limited to being represented by only a small portion of pixels, but I figured I would give it a go nonetheless. Perhaps I’ll revisit this one in the future when I’ve got a longer focal length telescope that can take us closer to see more details.
