The Eastern Veil Nebula

The Veil Nebula is about 2,000 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus.

Reprocessed my original data of the Eastern Veil using the new techniques in Siril. As with the others: better depth of color, better color balance, and better control of the star size. I also chose not to rotate it from the original field of view from the scope.

My first image of the Eastern Veil Nebula, also known as Caldwell 33. This is a delicate area of nebulosity that’s a part of the Veil Nebula or Cygnus Loop region, the other side of which contains the Witch’s Broom. I plan to take a mosaic image of this entire region soon. Given there’s only 2 hours 20 mins of integration time, I’ve very happy with how this image turned out, but I would like to add some more integration time to help add details.
