The Silver Sliver Galaxy
C23, also known as the Silver Sliver Galaxy, is located approximately 35,000,000 light-years away in the Andromeda constellation. Though our view of it is pretty directly edge-on, it is thought to closely resemble our own galaxy in type and structure.

This is my first time imaging the Silver Sliver galaxy. I had started this prior to the last moon cycle, but imaging broadband targets under a full moon will result in lower quality data, so I decided to visit some objects with narrowband emissions with my dual band filter during that time and revisit this one later. I finally as able to finish it up this week with a string of clear nights. Compared to processing my M33 HOORGB mosaic, processing this one was a breeze!
